How do I book?

You can go right ahead and book an available spot on the calendar below or email to arrange a different date. Booking is confirmed upon receipt of a £180.00 non-refundable deposit.

How do I pay?

We will email you a payment link to pay online (standard online payment methods accepted) or via bank transfer upon invoicing.

If you opted for special add-ons (such as prop or costume hire) we will email you a separate payment link or invoice, due within 3 days.

Payment for additional guests on the day (charged at the same rate for the other attendees) must be made in advance before the start of the class, via bank transfer or card. If for any reason payment cannot be taken on the day, you will be invoiced the extra amount and payment will be due within 3 days.

Can we bring more people on the day?

Yes, as long as you let us know approximate number of guests with at least 14 days in advance. This is to make sure we book a studio with the right capacity 1) to host your class in a big enough space to comply with the studio's health & safety rules 2) have booked the right amount of teachers/party hosts for the number of people in your group.

What do we wear?

Wear anything comfortable you can move in that makes you feel fabulous!

Any type of footwear works as long as it is non-slip and safe to dance in. Gym shoes or non-slip socks are fine too. Heels are optional but no high platform/pole dance shoes.

If you need some suggestions, we are more than happy to send you some.

FYI We do not tolerate offensive costuming (including culturally appropriative) costumes/makeup of any kind. In relation to this, if participants show up wearing something unsuitable or insensitive, they will be asked to remove it. If they are unable to, class will be cancelled and a refund will not be issued.

Can a friend just come and watch the class?

Anyone present during the class, whether taking part or just observing is counted as a participant. Observers are charged at the same rate as the other attendees.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

The £180.00 deposit and any additional payments made for add-ons (such as costume or prop hire) are non-refundable.
If a cancellation is made with more than 30 days notice, you will be refunded the remaining amount (after non-refundable deposit + add-on costs)
If a cancellation is made within 30 days of the class date, you will be refunded 75% of the remaining amount (after non-refundable deposit + add-on costs)
If a cancellation is made within 14 days of the class date, you will be refunded 50% of the remaining amount (after non-refundable deposit + add-on costs)
If your party does not show up on the day, your booking will be classed as used and a refund will not be issued.
A class may be rescheduled one time with at least 14 days notice.
If a reschedule is requested with less than 14 days notice, the client must pay the new studio hire fee for the rescheduled date.

What happens if we are late?

Classes start on time and cannot run over the teacher's and/or studio's booked time due to latecomers. For your own health & safety, latecomers cannot request to skip the warm up section of the class. Refunds will not be issued because of lateness or missed classes due to any reason (including train strikes, illness, traffic etc)

Everyone in your group must be age 18+

Upon booking, you confirm that everyone in your group is at least 18 years of age and would be happy to provide proof if requested. There is no upper age limit.

Intoxication policy

Everyone must be able to safely participate in the class. It is the teachers' and/or studio staff members' call if someone is deemed unable to safely participate and they will be politely asked to sit out. Any form of abuse toward staff will not be tolerated and class will stop immediately and a refund will not be issued. If the client or their party is responsible for any mess, damaged property or other violations to the premises or staff members' property, they will be invoiced the full cost of replacement and/or fixing, due within 3 days of invoicing. Property/premise damages or violations that require cleaning will incur a £150.00 cleaning fee. Interest plus an administration fee of £40.00 will be added to overdue invoices.

Photography & Film

To clarify, we are only talking about our iPhone cameras here - not a film crew in your class! However, if you do wish to have a professional photographer take some snaps of your special party class, we can arrange this as an add-on.

We will always ask for your permission before recording any footage. Any class footage found publicly can be used for Soho School of Burlesque and/or the studio's promo purposes, such as Instagram or websites. Any footage taken by Soho School of Burlesque and/or the studio staff can be used for promo purposes, such as Instagram or on our website.

Can we come to more burlesque classes?

Absolutely! All party class participants get 10% off their first class or course at Soho School of Burlesque. Valid for 3 months from the date of your party class.
